Fun facts.

Band-Aids are not called Band-Aids.

They're called adhesive bandages.

Band-Aid is just the name of the brand that

makes adhesive bandages, but that's just one brand. Every time you see an adhesive bandage, it's not a

band-aid, unless it's made by the Band-Aid brand. But we just call them all Band-Aids, because that's

what we're used to. And you probably already knew that. But did you know

that the same sort of thing is true for Velcro? Velcro is the name of the brand. The name of the

actual object is called hook-in-loop. Velcro is just one brand, a very popular brand, that makes

hook-and-loop. So if it's not the Velcro brand, it's just hook and loop.

But did you also know that the same thing is true for jet ski? Jet ski is the brand.

And trampoline. Trampoline is the brand. And Rollerblade. Rollerblade is just the brand

that makes inline skates.

They're not just called rollerblades.

They're called inline skates.

But the brand, the popular brand that makes inline skates is called rollerblade.

And there are so many other Kleenex.

They're called tissues.

Chapstick. It's called lip moisturizer. Tupperware. I mean, yeah, I guess you, yeah, it's really called a plastic

container, but like, no, it's called Tupperware, but no, it's not called Tupperware. That's the name
