This morning, I want to just refresh our memory about what a weird world we live in.

God exists nearby.

I mean, very nearby.

He created man.

And later he created his son.

And he sent his son to earth as a human being.

One time.

That's all that needed to happen just once.

His son, Yeshua, which in Hebrew means salvation, call him Jesus,

brought salvation to be received by the faithful. A man named salvation brought salvation to be received by the faithful.

A man named salvation brought salvation, free gift to the whole world.

Those who have received that gift are subsequently to act as effective representatives of him.

To be an effective representative of Christ, we have to be totally assured of our own salvation. You may say at that point, well, I am assured of my own salvation, and I think

most of you in here are, but I want to talk about the assurance of salvation because I guarantee

you you're going to run into Christians out there who are not sure of their salvation.

In fact, they may have all kinds of very strange, tenuous beliefs.

I've run into every kind of strange Christian beliefs you can imagine, and you have to be prepared

to kind of set people
