My name's Phil Syme and for the last 25 years or so,

I've relied on guide dogs to help me get around independently,

whether that's for a trip to the shops, a walk in the park, or even to visit friends and family

hundreds of miles away. I got my first dog in my early 20s. His name was Ryan and he really
