This time we look at the ways your local game store pays for the table space they provide to

gamers. We also have a new tale of horror and of course we close the show by

breaking down our recent roses, thorns and hula hoops. I'm Eric Sommer. I'm Julie Ahern. And I'm Tom Vassal, and welcome to the busiest time of the year. I was talking to my dad, and he said something like are you doing something is your

daughter graduating next year and I said no she's graduating this year oh yeah

technically that is next year next year because as a parent and I used to be a teacher my

years go from August to August yeah and even as a board gamer it's sometimes easy to think of a year as GenCon to, well next

GenCon or gamma to gamma or whatever, but January feels like almost part of the previous year or not part of the year at all.

But right now we are in the middle, right?

This is the zenith of the year where we are halfway between Gencon and Essen.

Well, a little bit less than halfway, but still, we're there.

And so much is going on, and there are so many games out there and so many games

are falling by the wayside that no one's playing because you just don't have time

to play them all. Not to mention all the kids are going back to school right now so

there's that added level of stress.
