Fans of the anthology series Black Mirror got a surprise at the end of 2018.

Instead of the show's eagerly awaited fifth season, what turned up on Netflix

was an interactive film called Bander Snatch. Like an adventure game or a choose-your-own-adventure

book, the story, devised by Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, allows you to make decisions as you go.

Some of the choices are comically inane, which sugary cereal to have for breakfast.

Some are momentous, should your character, a teenage computer programmer named Stefan,

accept a job at a legendary software developer or break out on his own. The choices get more important as you go, and so does Stefan's conviction that he's not in control of his own actions.

Eventually, he tries to rebel against the unseen force compelling him to act.

That is, you.

And the results are, well, you decide.
