Summary

The Four Finger Discount family recently lost our beloved pooch Jet, so to pay tribute we've gone back and revisited one of the more heartfelt episodes from the earlier seasons, Bart's Dog Gets An F.

We discuss how revisiting the episode helped Dando grieve the loss of Jet, the history of Tracey Ullman's turbulent relationship with the series, the simplistic but effective use of Marge's quilt to drive the story and more.

Welcome to Four-finger discount, where this week we're going all the way back to Season 2 to review an episode that I will discussing off the air.

It's more emotion-driven than humour, but it's an episode to pay tribute to my lovable dog Jet, who we lost a couple of weeks ago.

We are, of course, reviewing Bart's Dog Gets an F. I'm Dando. And I am Guy. You may have seen me on the cover of teen Steam Magazine. Yeah, lots of teen magazines. Yeah, took me back to reading magazines, but we'll

get into that, though. But Bart's Dog Gets an F. Your first thoughts on this episode, because for me, I'm watching this going, I wouldn't really call this a funny episode. It's got its funny moments, but I don't think it really needed to be. I think it really wanted to be a funny episode this one. I think it was more about the emotional story of a boy and his dog. Don't you, frankly? I think so. Well, a family in their dog, absolutely. Yeah, true. Yeah, yeah. Not really a joke delivery system in this particular episode. A nice vein of

humour running through a humor born of frustration, I think, and I think anyone who's ever had a pet
