Finally, a victory to talk about guys, 1714 over the Detroit Lions, reminiscent of a week

four of a year ago after an 0-and-3 start coming home and knocking off the Oakland Raiders,

the Detroit Lions, the victim this time. And I think, you know, by and large, what we saw

yesterday at Soldier Field was a kind of identity that

this team must take on we saw signs of that with the running game and a pretty

impressive rookie that we saw and the defense coming up against what has been a very

impressive offense so far well I'll leave the defense to Alex so I thought they

were fantastic but just for me Jordan Howard I think we had a sense in the first three games,

and even through the preseason that maybe this guy could carve out a bigger role for himself.

And you hate to see it happen to him by default, but here he gets his opportunity,

and he takes advantage of it.

And I give credit to Dowell Loggins because he did the two tight-end sets. I've been requesting for a couple weeks now. They pounded the ball.

You had it in your suggestion box.

Yeah. Hey, 111 yards. And I thought, quite frankly, at times, he was a handful for Detroit to bring down. He's always getting positive yardage, but they mixed it in. And then you see how it

opens up everything else. They were in play action today. Brian Hoyer was calm in the pocket,

but it really stemmed from their ability to run the football. And I think Howard really made

the most of his opportunity. Before we get to Alex, Howard was the guy who really flashed most

in the opportunities. He was given the first three weeks.

Jeremy Langford really struggling, and granted this offensive line was struggling as well as they tried to find some continuity and some chemistry.

But when given the opportunity, he was the guy that we saw the most eye-opening runs from.
