One of my pet peeves and a vacuum in society is a lack of leadership.

So given the fact that I'm sat here with two boys, men, that have both been

captains at their football clubs, I thought it might be a nice conversation to discuss leadership

and what it looks like and what it entails in sport and specifically football. Your views,

gentlemen. I do think it's changed. I'm not sure if the senior players today want to take

as much responsibility as the players of my day.

I think that's maybe just in society as all.

I think the modern player today, I think, is left reluctant to stand up and be counted when they go and gets tossed.

You know, we're all leaders, we're all winners when you're winning every week.

And I would say that to, you know, you walk into a dressroom

for the first time, I say, we'll soon find out
