Glenn Lowry, I'm Merton Stokes, professor

of the Social Sciences at Brown University,

and John Paulson Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

And I'm with Ben Benjamin Flury Steiner,

who's Professor of Sociology

at the University of Delaware,

Director of Graduate Studies in that department, and

author many books, and someone whom I have known for a long time since I discovered his

book Juror's Stories of Death, way back when I was in my anti mass incarceration phase.

But Benjamin has other books, he has a book about guys dying from AIDS inside of prison, a book about the inadequate response

to the needs of veterans who have served their country and whatnot.

He's a prolific critic and sociologist writing about American social policy, and I'm happy to have him on the show. Welcome to him.
