this weird bit in between Christmas and New Year when time seems to lose all meaning

street. But we're taking a short break before returning in the new year. So I didn't want to leave you

empty-handed. Here's a little treat, a selection of some of my favorite conversations from the

past year. First up is the legendary American Senator Bernie Sanders.

I did not grow up saying any way, stretch in any form.

Sure.

I'm going to be an elected official. Never. I think back my, both of my parents died young,

but they certainly would have been shocked to find their son, a United States senator,

who would have been the farthest thing from their imagination. But what happened and how I got

involved was I got involved, as everybody here knows, we have two major parties, Democrats,

Republicans, and in the state of Vermont, you have Democrats and Republicans. There was a

very small third party developed called the Liberty Union Party, which focused on economic justice,

opposition to the war in Vietnam, civil rights, et cetera. And I got involved in it. And nobody
