To some of us the enjoyment of solitude complete independence and the beauty of

undefiled panoramas is absolutely essential to happiness and when I think of

like a place that embodies that quote I think of the Brooks Range and the Kobuck.

This one stood out to us is almost a Bristol Bay type issue where you're just taking a place that's already so valuable and so unique and valuable and putting that all at risk so that a couple of foreign-owned mining companies could potentially, you know,

they would be the primary beneficiaries.

What we need to remember is the term intact ecosystem.

Since time and memorial, since before humans existed in this landscape,

that ecosystem has not been disturbed except for Red Dog Mine.

In a world replete with human endeavor,

we have these last places of solitude ruled by caraboo time or nature's time and we're in a moment where we can

choose not to blow that up.
