Pope Francis says the Catholic Church is weary and wounded by her own sin.

The reports alleging nuns were silenced for years about the sexual abuse they endured

from priests.

Nons having abortions or giving birth to babies fathered by priests.

The nuns did not report the abuse because they feared retaliation against themselves or

their orders.

Pope Francis said Pope Benedict had the courage to dissolve a female congregation because

the slavery of women had entered it.

His friends has told the crowd of young people that church must be converted.

His words coming in the wake of Germany's bishops releasing a report that found more than

3,600 victims were abused by clergy between 1946 and 2014.
