All right, we got an emergency episode of the PFF college football show right now.

If you can't tell, I am in sunny Florida taking a little workcation.

Because I thought, Don, after conference championship weekend, the week before the playoff really gets going,

I was like, all right, I'll take a quick vacation, you know, get some time off.

Well, then the biggest story probably of the entire decade just broke in that UNC, North Carolina, is hiring

Bill Belichick to be their head coach, replacing Mack Brown. So you replace one legend

with another legend, the six-time Super Bowl champion. Many think to be the greatest coach

in NFL history is now going down to the college ranks and it will be the head coach of

North Carolina. That's what inside Carolina is reporting right now. Don, just what is your

immediate reaction to what is just a shocking development in the coaching carousel?

I think that's the first part of it that is that it is shocking, right? You go from a college

legend in Mack Brown to maybe the NFL legend in Bill Belichick,

and he's never coached in college before.

The connection to North Carolina is that his dad coached there back in the 50s,

and maybe he's just kind of trying to pay tribute to that a little bit.

And maybe, you know, we've heard about, you know,

our friend Ollie Connolly talking about this 400-page organizational Bible that he has for the Tar Heels.

And, you know, there was a rumor that part of that is kind of making sure Steve Belichick is

the coach in waiting there that he can take over whenever Bill is done. But no, it's

incredibly shocking when you consider all we've heard all year is the job openings that Belichick

would be looking into. We're most likely in the NFC East, maybe the Giants, maybe the

Cowboys, you know, maybe some others around the league. He interviewed with the Falcons last off-season
