We are witnessing a bird-brain public health response to avian influenza, highly pathogenic

avian influenza which is turning out not to be very pathogenic at all. No large

numbers of deaths of poultry, no human deaths, very mild cases,

and very rare human cases, and yet the public health response is out of control with fear mongering and

massive purchases of unnecessary and unsafe bird flu vaccines.

Wow, you really couldn't, you couldn't draw this up for a bad science fiction movie.
