Today's episode is part two of our interview with Chris Dempsey from Altitude Sports.

Chris is a black reporter who's been in the Colorado market for decades, and that gives him a unique experience to talk about the intersection of the Black Lives Matter movement and the movement against police brutality, as well as how it means locally and in Colorado and what that's like.

I talked to him about a number of topics related to that.

It was a really great conversation that we were able to be pretty open and honest with one another

and get his perspective on things.

I've known Chris a long time, and we've had these conversations before, but I still wanted to

make sure he was comfortable with it.

So I had asked him if he was, if he was good and he was like, let's do it.

And he was excited to get into these issues and open to talking about it.

And I'm grateful for that because it's awkward, right?

Like, it's awkward for everybody who's white having this conversation with a black person.

It's awkward for everyone who's black having this conversation with a white person about what these things mean

and how big the gap is in terms of understanding and how to rectify these things. And so I'm really grateful that Chris is willing to come on and have this conversation with me. I think it's a really insightful conversation. And like, look, if you're listening to this podcast, you're a Nuggets fan. And if you're a Nuggets fan, then you know Chris Dempsey, who's on altitude, covers all these games. And it's important, I think, for you to understand who he is and his feelings on these things.

Wearing a mask, it certainly seemed recent. So it would seem that he was either on his way Saturday slash Sunday or arrived.

Michael Malone made it sound like he was not in Orlando, but we do not know at this point
