Richard, appreciate you giving me a little time today.

Something I want to talk to you about for a while now.

You started off, I guess,

an interim basis last year since February 17th,

I think was the announcement that you have moved into the full-fledged chair

there on Supertalk, Mississippi, 6 to 9 a.m. on weekdays, what's it been like the first six months or so?

It's been fun. It's been a learning experience. I think I realized, and maybe I should have realized this going into it, that that chair that you referenced was a good bit larger than maybe I had

personally given credit for. And I think that's just a testament to what Paul Gallo built

over the course of 35 years. I mean, he was the voice of politics in the state of Mississippi,

kind of the pioneer of that and grew it into a really large audience.

And I think the piece of it that I didn't know about or didn't recognize, you and I think have talked about this off the air in a separate conversation, is that it, I think I looked at it from the standpoint of,

hey, we work for the same network.

We're both at Super Talk.

And I host a radio show in the afternoon.

And he hosts a radio show in the morning.

And so we're kind of the same, probably an arrogant take

to some degree, but also just a lack of understanding of how significant a lot of what Paul said

on a daily basis was at the Capitol in terms of who was listening, how it shaped votes,

you know, what legislation kind of made it to the finish line.

And that wasn't every piece of legislation.

And I'm not trying to say that Paul shaped everything that was done at the Capitol
