Dad pulled up to the Golden Crown takeaway restaurant, looking forward to a quick pickup.

Bluey and Bingo, buzzing with energy, tumbled out of the car.

Bluey's eyes immediately caught sight of a tap on the side of the building.

Ooh, can I have a shower under that tap?

She asked, her tail wagging with excitement. Dad, clearly exhausted from the day, shook his head.

No wet dogs in car, he replied, trying to maintain some semblance of order.

Bluey sighed and disappointment, while Bingo's curiosity got the better of her.

Dad, where do rocks come from?

She asked, her wide eyes reflecting the day's endless questions.

Caught off guard by the inquiry, Dad hesitated, clearly unprepared for a geology lesson.

But before he could muster an answer, Blue quickly shifted gears.

Can we have some of your takeaway, too? she asked, already thinking ahead to the tasty food.

You girls don't like spicy.

Dad reminded them, trying to steer the conversation away from his dinner.

He told them to wait outside while he dashed into the restaurant, promising to be back in just two seconds.

The moment he disappeared inside, Bluey and Bingo exchanged mischievous glances, the kind that signaled an adventure was about to unfold. Without a word, they both bolted for the lone chair sitting outside.

Bluey reached it first, but Bingo wasn't far behind, and the two giggled as they jockeyed for space.

A car rumbled past stirring a breeze that sent a stray newspaper fluttering off a nearby table.

Bingo, always eager to help, quickly retrieved it,

proudly handing it back to Bui, who placed it back with a satisfied pat on her sister's head.

Their game was interrupted when Dad reappeared, a plastic bag in hand.
