So your father's mother was a hairstylist, yeah?

Yes.

And it sounds like she was a lot of fun.

Could you tell me about her apron?

Oh, gosh.

Really?

Okay.

For those who have not read the book, yeah, my grandmother, my dad's mom, we call her nanny. She was pretty crazy. She was

very outgoing, very outspoken. You know, anyone we brought her around, everything for her had to do

with sex. I don't know where that came from. I have no idea. But a lot of embarrassing moments, which she loved to embarrass all of us.

But she would go up to Lionel Richie, and, you know, she walked into his dressing room one day

and while at the end of the show walked in while he was taking a shower.

And, you know, yeah, and Lionel Richie can tell you that

story she grabbed him right she croaked him a little bit she tried to yeah yeah she

that was her but her apron and some of the the switches on the wall for the light
