Hey, everyone. Thanks for joining us for another episode. If you're new here, in each episode, we dig into the backstory of a house that is haunted or notorious for some reason or another.

So we'll talk about who lived there, who died there, and all of the events that led to its eventual infamy.

That is right. And today we are back with another murder house.

In fact, this house is so synonymous with the homicide that took place there in 1987

that that's actually how locals in Boise referred to it as. It's the murder house.

Yeah. So that's the most common nickname,

but it's also sometimes referred to as the Chop Chop House. Uh, Chop Chop feels like either

lighthearted Benny Hana event or like seriously sinister. I don't even know if I want to know.

Right. And keeping with our murder house theme, in the second half of the episode, we'll be chatting with Justin Long, whose new movie Barbarian is out in theaters this week. You might know Justin from his roles in classics like Dodgeball or he's just not that into you. And of course, Jeepers, creepers. We will be picking his brain about all of those movies and what it was like to

make Barbarian, which centers around a short-term rental home that has an extremely horrifying

basement. Why is it always the basement? Or, I mean, between that and the attic, just my

ultimate nightmare. Well, I hate to tell you this, but today's house also involves a really scary-ass basement.

So I hope you're ready because we are about to get into it.

Today we're taking a closer look at 805 West Linden Street in Boise, Idaho, which was the home of Daniel Rogers, a 37-year-old drug dealer.

In the early morning hours of June 30, 1987, he and 31-year-old Darren Cox shot and killed 21-year-old Preston Murr in the basement of Rogers' home on Linden Street.

They then dismembered the body cutting it into 13 pieces. Oh, 13. I know. Okay, so I just want to say this, that the court documents

do not verify that little anecdote of the 13 pieces, like confirmed they did dismember the body,

but the 13 pieces came up in a few different newspaper reports that I was reading.
