There was an ominous silence in the air as we approached the edge of town. The clamor and

hustle of city life had been replaced by the soft murmur of the wind. As it turned out, there was a

pretty good reason for the weird muted atmosphere. Everyone was dead.

Every now and then we'd encounter a body with its head still attached by a ragged strip of

flesh, and that was somehow worse.

I knew the bodies weren't real.

That didn't make it any better.

Once again, it just made it worse.
