If you've been listening to Season 1 of 13-0 podcast, you'll know that I just started a series on David Marshall Murdoch from Florida.

I leasing this as a bonus episode. There's actually going to be two of them because

this testimony is just too wild not to share. There was no audio or video that was streamed for

the trial after the second day. So all of this was missed. So I got the transcripts almost 3,000 pages and spent a lot of

time going through them. And there was a lot of crazy stuff in there. And I thought that it's something

that needed to be shared with the jurors. So I was originally just going to do a couple episodes

on this, but I decided to spend the extra time, read the transcripts on an

episode or a couple episodes, and release them to y'all because I know that y'all are as

interested in all of this as I am. So I am doing the direct examination on this episode, and then there will be another one that follows

with the cross and rebuttal. Enjoy.

David Marshall Murdoch's direct examination begins with his defense attorney, Ms. Tuomi, saying, good morning.

He responds, good morning.

And she asks him, can you please introduce yourself to the jury?

He says his name is David Murdoch.

She asks, how old are you, sir?

And he says 65.

She asks how old he would have been back in 2016,

and he says, I would be 57 at that time. She says, okay, well, let me bring you back to

2016. In 2016, specifically February of 2016, where were you living? I was living at Cherry Pocket, out at Cherry Pocket.

Okay. Can you describe to us what, what is Cherry Pockets? Cherry Pocket is a fish camp that's in North Lake Wales.

They have a five-star restaurant. They have, they're on a lake on Lake Pierce. They have clients that come

in everywhere, all over the state and country.
