I dealt with that breakdown, but buying as much music from 2016 as I possibly could.

As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm

convinced it's the greatest year for music of all time. Now, this is a bonus episode over on

the main podcast. I invited Jade Adams to talk about the Johnny Freyerson album, Have You Been

Good to Yourself? It's a very special album to me. It's an album that I bonded with

with my dad. And, hey, it's a feeling I like. I like connecting with my dad. If that makes me a

square, see me. I'll see you in court. Anyway, I wanted to talk about this and this feeling of a

connecting with your parents, over albums. So I decided that the bonus episode for the Johnny Frierson episode would be with my father himself, with David.

David A. Caster, actually, coincidentally.

We have the same surname.

I invited him on the podcast to talk about Johnny Frierson, but also to talk about the other albums that we bonded over during my 2016 project and music in general,

what it means to him, what it means to me.

Because for me, big part of getting into music was my dad playing me different things, talking to me about music, telling me what he liked.

And just, I don't know, maybe he just tuned my ears up, you know?

He tuned up my ears.

Got me really to appreciate music, appreciate the depths of it, how much there is there to enjoy,

and how much you can enhance and improve your life. So, uh, thank you, Dad, for that. I know you're
