Two of my favourite things.

James Acaster here, comedian and music fan, and in 2017, I had a breakdown.

I dealt with that breakdown by buying as much music from 2016 as I possibly could.

As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm convinced it's the

greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough me being convinced. I also want to

convince each and every single one of you. This is a bonus episode on the main podcast.

We do short episodes, you know, like 25 minutes-ish,

where we focus on one album each time.

I send an album to a guest.

The guest comes on and we talk about that album.

We see if they will admit that 2016 is the greatest year for music of all time.

because I got quite obsessed with different labels during this 2016 adventure.

I'd never done that before.

Before, I just bought various albums,

hadn't really engaged that much with the labels. But with this, it became a really fast way
