exciting show plan for you today. Something I've been looking forward to discussing with Whitney Webb coming back after lots of extensive work on her book.

One of the talk about some interesting research that she was involved in.

A really important discussion, a really important research you've been working on on.

Something that many of you might have seen in regard to an engineer claiming to have that Google essentially has an essentially an AI that they then come out and claim isn't true.

And the discussion around all that information and what that means and whether or not this is ultimately a play at setting up the idea of artificial intelligence and how that might be used for governance going forward.

Something that really obviously caught our attention and I'm excited to have Whitney Webb back on to discuss this. How are you today Whitney?

I'm recovering from a nasty cold, but other than that, I'm all right.

As you mentioned and as, oh, sorry, what's that?

No, I was just saying I'm sure everyone's happy to have you here. So it's nice to see you.

Oh, yeah. Well, I've been gone for a while as you mentioned because I had a book to write and yeah, it's pretty much written, which is really cool.

Hopefully get my life back kind of soon. That'd be nice.

But yeah, so like while, you know, I was doing the book obviously stuff has been happening, right?

So this is one of those things that I felt like was important to to discuss because I the way I look at this type of stuff going out like this whole is Google AI sentient story that came out.

I wasn't really seeing a certain perspective that I think is the accurate perspective being put out there so much.

And I've done a lot of work for TLAV and elsewhere about AI and the effort buying some of these transhumanist guys and other people like that.

It's really pushed through like AI sentience and or the claim, you know, the singularity and this weird group of people who are very prominent.

People like Ray Kurzweil of Google also who, you know, is the whole the singularity is near guy. I mean, he sounds like, you know, for years, one of those, you know, at doomsday profits on a street corner, you know, the end is near and stuff, you know.

But, you know, he's a Google guy with a lot of influence, right? And so are a lot of these other people and, you know, singularity will be the new God land.

And, you know, while all this is going on at Google, there's some interesting dynamics taking place both within Google and in the orbit of kiss the new Kissinger as he's being called Eric Schmidt, the former head of Google CEO or the former head of Google and our alphabet with parent company rather.
