Kat I know that you've continued to follow the story and there is now quite a lot to tell isn't there?

There is yes. On July 12th this year after months of silence, Samantha Cooks aka

Carrie Jade Williams was arrested at a post office office in Trally and charged with welfare fraud

for allegedly claiming almost 60,000 euros in welfare payments for her Huntington's disease.

Wow.

Now according to the Gardee who obtained some of the some medical records in 2021 she told the doctor she was adopted and couldn't prove she had been diagnosed with Huntington's and this apparently led to the doctor signing off on her welfare claim anyway in good faith.

That's crazy. Now this sounds pretty shocking but recent figures from the House of O'Rex

show that last year while nearly 18 million euros of welfare payments were overpaid due to suspected fraud.

Only 1% of those were disability payments, so it's clearly not something that happens very often.
