I love to read, and I'm sure you probably do as well.

And I love music, especially hip-hop.

So today I'm going to be breaking down an excerpt from one of my favorite books by Ryan Holiday.

Ryan Holiday is a, I mean, he's young. I think he's like my age,

31, 32, and the dude is a beast. And it's going to be, I believe, one of the most important

writers of our generation. And I know that's a big claim, but I think I'm qualified in

making that claim based on his work

thus far. You talk about books like obstacle is the way. Ego is the enemy. The daily stoic, which I keep by

my nightstand. Powerful book. The dude is deep, I think he was like 21 when he was the head of marketing for American

Apparel.

Extremely talented marketer as well.

He just dropped a new book called Perennial Cellar, which I believe is going to be a perennial

seller based on what I've just learned from it.

What I'm picking up from it.

I learned a ton from the dude.

And he is going to be a guest soon on the Sports Motivation podcast as well.

And what I want to do is this book, Ego is the enemy.

It's interesting because it gave me a lot of anxiety when I read this.

And there's even some parts of it that I don't all the way necessarily agree with.

And not that I don't agree with it, but I think I get him being a world-class marketer,
