I'm at my desk, and I have with me today Nathan Pinkowski, author of a review of Kevin Roberts' new book, Dawn's Early

Light, Taking Back Washington to Save America, and we gave the title of this review, Paleo Futurism.

Welcome to the podcast, Nathan. Thank you very much for having me.

Always a pleasure to be here. So you take the measure of this new book by Kevin Roberts,

and it really wants to probe the distempers of our time and then to propose more than just a

political way forward, a kind of political, cultural, even spiritual way forward. Is that fair?

Yeah, I think that's right. I think that it's, he's an interesting case because, not only because of the position of

leadership, he's assumed in one of the venerable institutions of the heritage. He's president of the

Heritage Foundation. Exactly. But also because he has a kind of a longer perspective, which he brings out very well in the book,

someone who grew up in the early 90s,

interested in Buchanan's,

Patrick Buchanan's insurgency,

someone who saw a lot of the things coming,

but wasn't really paid very close attention to at the time

by the more mainstream commentators kind of

written off. And that, if the book teaches us anything, and I think if the past 10 years or so

of American and also Western politics have taught us anything, that was a mistake.
