Okay. podcast. Today, we are bringing you a special episode of the Fox True Crime podcast. This morning, an arrest was made in connection with the infamous Gilgo Beach murders, also known as the Long Island serial killer.

This afternoon, authorities will hold a press conference

in which they will announce developments made

in this Long Island homicide investigation.

You had direct insight and participation in this infamous case.

What can you tell us today?

So I don't want to overstate my involvement.

I will tell you this.

There were some indications that the perpetrator, whoever he was, might have had some sort of a footprint here in New York City. One of the victims, Shannon Gilbert, resided in the Bronx when she went missing, so there was that.

But because a lot of the victims were sex workers, it was very hard to pin down.

So running the Intelligence Bureau operations, we had liaisons, upstatestate on Long Island, etc.

And we tweaked to the fact that the perpetrator was making phone calls to the family of Shannon Gilbert to taunt them after having done what he did.
