After they had two more children, the family moved to Brisbane, Australia, where they had two more.

It was while the family was living in Brisbane in 2009 that Brianna's father died by suicide.

Her mother Jasmine walked in around 6 a.m. after getting up to feed her youngest and found him.

She screamed for her mother who was staying with them to come help her, and that

scream woke up nine-year-old Brianna, who walked in on her mother trying to resuscitate her father. Unfortunately she was not successful.
