Summary

In May of 2016, a man is gunned down in the street walking home from a concert in the park. Louisville rapper Brice Rhodes shoots the man thinking there is a bounty on his head, but doesn't realize he has the wrong guy. Teen brothers Larry and Maurice, only 14 and 16 years old, were with Rhodes at the time. When Rhodes gets word the boys may have told their family about the murder, he kills them in such a brutal way that he became known as one of Louisville's most notorious criminals in recent years. Rhodes courtroom antics made headlines when he taunted the boys' mother in court, laughing at her and blowing her kisses. He threatened to kill the judge, spat on his lawyer, attacked other inmates in jail, as well as multiple corrections officers. His antics became so bad that he was forced to wear a stun cuff during trial. The details of this case are both heartbreaking and outrageous. This is the story of 14-year-old Larry Ordway, his brother 16-year-old Maurice “Reece” Gordon, and 40 year old father of two Christopher Jones, and the trial of Brice Rhodes.

0:00.0	The first Saturday of every May, people from all over the world make their way to Louisville, Kentucky for what has come to be known as the most exciting two minutes in sports.
0:10.0	The Kentucky Derby is a tradition dating back 150 years, and while the race itself may only last two minutes, the festivities leading up to it last two weeks. There are parades,
0:24.0	air shows, balloon races, and concerts. Each day, the Kentucky Derby Festival has a different schedule
0:30.8	and itinerary of fun and exciting things to do and experience. 40-year-old father of two,
0:41.7	Christopher Jones, loved the festivities, and as a local, he looked forward to them every year.
0:43.7	On May 4th of 2016, he attended the free concert on the waterfront, and when it was over,
0:50.0	he took off walking toward home.
0:52.8	Chris Jones was walking down the street in his neighborhood
0:55.3	when a car pulled up beside him, rolled down the window,
0:59.3	and yelled at him to get out of the street.
1:01.5	The man in the car then fired one shot.
1:04.8	The bullet went through Chris's arm,
1:07.2	entered his torso, and hit his liver.
1:10.6	When police responded to the scene, they found Chris lying on the ground.
1:15.6	He was rushed to the hospital, but the damage was too severe, and Chris succumbed to his injuries.

1:24.6	Detectives canvassed the area and followed a few leads, but there wasn't much that was panning out to point them in the right direction.
1:32.3	A few weeks later, the bodies of 14-year-old Larry Ordway and his brother, 16-year-old Maurice Gordon, were found dumped in the backyard of an abandoned house nearby.
