The dispatchers of the EMS call center are busy, as they tend to be at that time of day.

Typically, they handle medical emergencies at that time, like heart attacks. However, one call comes

in that is clearly about something markedly different.

The caller is a woman with a Polish accent. She is in a panic, and when asked for an address,

she continues to fret. Something tragic has happened at her home, and it happened to her four-year-old son,

who needs an ambulance. When asked what the situation is, the mother said, he doesn't breathe

anymore. The background of the call is more.

The background of the call is that she and her husband moved from Poland to London in 2005 with their first child in tow. The mother's name is Magdalena and the husband's name is Eric. In 2008, Eric decided to

move back to Poland. Magdalena chose to stay. Before long, she met another Polish man, him being

Marias Krasolic. Their relationship was often turbulent, with speculation that he

was physically abusive to Magdalena. Outsiders were particularly concerned about how this

violence would affect the children, especially Little Daniel.

Starting in November 2008, the children learning and young people directorate took an interest in their situation.

After all, it was a social services organization. On January 29th, 2009, a social worker paid a visit

to the household. After interviewing Magdalena in depth, he became convinced that she was

capable of raising her children on her own.

A year later, Marius moved back in and became a surrogate father for the children.
