Summary

Bruce McArthur is a grandfather who worked as a landscaper and a mall Santa in the off-season. For nearly eight years, McArthur lived a secret life as a serial killer, primarily targeting men in The Gay Village, an LGBTQ+-friendly area of Toronto.

In part two of the Bruce McArthur episodes, we’ll cover the final disappearances in the Gay Village, how McArthur was finally caught, and his later court proceedings. Rumors about the missing men and a possible serial killer in Toronto’s Gay Village started in 2010. McArthur had a habit of targeting South Asian or Middle Eastern men who struggled with their sexuality. He knew many of his victims, which meant there was a connection to him; the police just had to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together.
