I want people to appreciate that science is a deeply human endeavor.

Science is performed by humans.

I think having that perspective is a really important one. People expect scientists to have the answers and even you know my students are frustrated with me. They want to know the answer, but the fact is for anything that is complex

and nuanced, the answer is generally, it depends. Of course people are going to then be frustrated by science because it

doesn't deliver all the answers and it doesn't. There's so much we don't

understand that's another point that I really try to get through is that we understand

a sliver of how our brain and our bodies work. But we do know some things and so it's exciting to talk about these things.
