Recently, a study has been published, which looks at the relationship between controlling deer numbers and woodland restoration.

Cairngorms Connect, which leads the biggest habitat restoration project in the UK, has played a key role

in delivering the findings.

I met Lizzie Brotherston on the banks of the River Nethy to find out more.

So it really started the idea kind of formed in around 2016

when the four land managers sat down together.

That's wild land limited, the RSPB, Nature Scot

and Forestry and Land Scotland

with the Caringorms National Park Authority as a supporting partner.

So the idea is to work on this massive area of land within the Caring Gorms National Park.

So it's 60,000 hectares.
