In the early 1980s, Chino Hills, California was an affluent city that seemed to be immune to violent crime.

That all changed on June 5th, 1983, when a quadruple homicide of the home of Doug and Peggy Ryan devastated the entire community.

Within a matter of days, prison escapee Kevin Cooper was identified and charged with the murder.

Cooper was found guilty and sentenced to death.
