Let's turn over to Romans chapter 12. I'm going to start here. I'm not going to stay here,

but these are the first verses that the Lord ever spoke to me. I mean, I read a lot of verses. I'm not going to stay here, but these are the first verses that the Lord ever spoke to me.

I mean, I read a lot of verses. I memorized scripture when I was a kid. But the first time that the

Lord ever just nailed me and spoke to me was Romans chapter 12, verses one and two. And it was

the Christmas of 1967. And the Lord said, I beseech you therefore,

brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service. And be not conform to this world, but be ye transformed by the

renewing of your mind that you may

prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And for 18 months before this,

I had been seeking God's will for my life. I really believe, and I was taught this, and I believed

it, and I still believe it, that we aren't

an accident. It's not, we didn't just happen. We are created by God with the purpose. And I believe

that you don't just do your thing and ask God to bless it, but you find out what God created you

for. And so until I was in high school,

I really didn't have to think much about what God's will for my life was because I had it

planned out. I knew I had to go through high school and stuff. But when you got into high school,

they started, you know, having career days and talking about what are you going to do with your

life. And since I did believe that God had a

purpose for me, I got to seeking. And for 18 months, I was just desperate seeking the will of the

Lord. I stayed up until two or three o'clock every night of my high school reading the Bible. I
