I'm John Batchelor. Hours to go to the election in Canada, Gordon Chang at Gordon G. Chang, my colleague and co-hosts, and we're very pleased to welcome Charles Burton of the synopsis to help us understand not only where the contest is, but also reaction to the English language debate that took place at the end of

last week between Mr. Carney and Mr. Polever, Mr. Blanchet and Mr. Jagmat Singh.

The debate turned on several policy issues that late in the debate puzzled me. So I'm glad Charles is here.

Charles, a very good evening to you. The chief puzzling for me, watching video clips, not the

whole thing alive, is that when housing came up as a policy issue, Mr. Poliabra has a very

detailed example of what he would do as of pointing out the failures of the

Trudeau administration to adequately respond to the housing needs these last years. However,

when it was Mr. Carney's turn, he talked about Donald Trump. That's a hum for me. What does that tell

us about Mr. Carney? Does he not have a housing issue? Good evening to you.

Good evening. Well, I think that, you know, certainly there has been a significant reduction in the sale of new housing and resale of housing in Canada,

which is largely attributed to uncertainty over Canada's economic

future.

But Mr. Carney, in general, his policy seems to be similar to his approach when he was governor

of the Bank of England at the time of Brexit, which is to instill really fear that everything in Canada
