All right, so we've got an ex-police officer who's never told his story before like this.

And it is a harrowing story arc. You've heard many of our interviews with the cops,

you know they join for the right reasons but then the bureaucracy the corruption kicks in and they put their lives on the line

there's a lot of trauma a lot of PTSD at the end you know there's some pretty dark

outcomes and this story is no exception so huge

thank you for Tony for coming in and sharing this with us because it's it's a lot to

relive and before you got in the please what was your life like?

I had various jobs sales jobs you know but my number one game was to join the police force, you know, since I was a young age,

it just appealed to me, and that's all I want to do, you know, since I was little. It was myself either

be a professional footballer or be a police officer.

And did you, were you idealistic or did you understand how hard-hitting it is?

The police, I think years ago, was, it's completely different to what it is now. Had I known now, in hindsight it's easy to say, but there's no way and I wouldn't recommend anybody to join the police force

and all with especially what I've gone through personally but when you look at

other officers run the country I I feel sorry for him.

And these new recruits, I don't know if you're aware, there's a massive people, a large amount of people,

sorry, who's joining the police forces and within a couple of months,

years they're just resigning, it's not for them, they're seeing what it is.

I think there's a lot to do with the government when I was trying to join the police.
