CBB's bedtime story.

I'm just adding the final decorations to the CBB's house.

Tonight is a very special night, and that's because it's Lunar New Year.

Lunar New Year.

Lunar New Year is celebrated by lots of people all over the world and is a very exciting time,

full of the parties and celebrations.

Well, the decorations are up. The yummy food is ready.

There's a time for one lot thing,

a special CBB's bedtime story all about the Lunar New Year.

It's called I Love Chinese New Year and it's by Eva Wan Nava and the Shin Li.

The Lunar New Year is arriving tomorrow.

A new moon, a new year, a new celebration.

My family is Chinese and we have our own Lunar New Year traditions.

We start to clean the whole house a week before New Year.

I helped Mama and Baba decorate, making our home festive and cheerful. For happiness, Mama and I hang up a row of red lenters.

For health, Baba placed sticks of green bamboo and pink cherry blossom around the house.

For good luck, Mama hands a portrait with the world full upside down.

And for good wishes, Baba and I put out dishes of eight tangerines.

Then we wait for someone special to arrive for the most important dinner of the year.

Ding dong!

My heart bursts with happiness to see Night Night at the front door.
