So it makes sense to me that in the Democratic Party, the people with real solutions to our problems gained seats,

while the Democrats who serve corporations and push for half-ass measures lost seats.

And yet, Nancy Pelosi and corporate Democrats like her remain in charge of both the Democratic

Party and the House. And so while the Republicans took more House seats overall, and so let's not pretend that progressives getting more seats

getting more seats makes a difference, you know, this was a big win for

team corporate.

I do think it's noteworthy that there is a shift happening within the Democratic

Party inside the House. The Queen of Corporate Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, is going to have

a much harder time playing one woman house this year with fewer corporate Democrats

willing to just vote how she commands. And so at the very least the inner party

fights and the Democratic Party and the 117th Congress will be a storyline worth paying attention to

especially if you're a policy wonk like me even if corporations are still

likely to win in any policy tweaks that make it into law.
