It made no sense to risk a shutdown and to risk handing that much power to President Trump for a weak-ass 30-day CR.

But the thing is that it didn't have to make sense because the whole fight was fake.

The House Democrats were gone.

They were at a resort.

And even though that resort was only 30 miles away, they did not return on that Friday to even pretend to want to vote

on a 30-day CR that they said they were fighting for.

It was all a performance.

Because the only way House Democrats could be confident enough to keep their resort reservations

and be physically away from the Capitol on Friday, March 14th, is if they knew the whole time that the

CR that passed the House on March 11th would become law that Friday.

If they knew that some Democratic senators would break the filibuster and let it happen.

I am so damn tired of being lied to.

I don't think I can deny it anymore.

You can't stick to your story if you think it flies.

But I'm not going to buy it anymore.
