Hello and welcome to Changes Focus. It is Annie McManus here bringing you a wonderful Smorgas Board of previous conversations of changes

all wrapped up in a neat present and the theme of said audio present is bodies.

So we started this year of changes with a miniseries on Joy and then in May we did a

mini series on bodies and the response to these miniseries has been so fantastic.

I've had so many messages from you guys about the bodies

episodes in particular. So this changes focus is zooming in on the best and most

kind of memorable moments when we've been speaking to our guests about all things bodies.

So we've got beloved Irish novelist Marion Keys,

the brilliant journalist and author of decolonizing my body

Afwerherche, and the internet's favorite gynecologist Dr. Jen Gunter.

But first up let's revisit my chat with singer-songwriter Kira Thompson better

known as CMATs. I loved this episode.

C.Mat was so beautifully and brutally candid. I started by asking her about her

experience of being a woman and a pop star through the lens of bodies.

I think that ultimately there is still a huge section of the population that I'm just not comfortable with seeing a

woman that is not commercially attractive.

People love to use the word unconventionally attractive. I hate that term because I only think there's two types of attractiveness.

I think there is commercial, sellable attractiveness, there's commercial beauty and sellable beauty, and then there's the unsellable and the un-commercial

but everybody is beautiful in both of those categories right like everyone across the board

is gorgeous it is just subjective I think I'm a ride now

I'm an absolute ride but I also think it doesn't matter what I look like do you know I mean at the

same time it's like it shouldn't matter I think my hair and my makeup is cool and my
