What did you see when you got out here that day?

Well, there was a lot happening at that time.

There was still a huge, huge response from this local community, which by the way is

an extraordinary place.

There was a flurry of law enforcement activity from agencies all over as people would expect.

We'd come to expect internally.

I could just see the complexity of people's more faces in their comments and the way they

looked and the way they acted and the way they walked.

It was a rocked community.

And remember, it was on the heels of the flora fire that killed those four little girls

in flora in the same county, in the same rural county in middle of America.

You know?

It's a lot of tragedy.

A lot of tragedy, a lot of sadness, a lot of her pain in sorrow.

And I knew we were going to have a heavy burden.

I just knew we were going to have a heavy burden.

And I know that was because of what the expectations would be, coordinating an event, an investigation

of this complex.

I had lots of them around my mind personally, my mind.

But as I looked around and I saw what was happening, I knew that we were up for the task.
