I've been sharing on the fear of the Lord and really there are hundreds and hundreds of

scriptures that talk about this that illustrate it and I'm just having to pick and that

illustrate it and I'm just having to pick and choose. There is no way that I can even

effectively begin to cover everything. What I want to begin to talk about is

that the fear and again there's many aspects that we could talk, but I want to focus in this afternoon on fearing the Lord means showing respect and honor not only to God but in to authority in your life.

Now this may not be one of those things that makes you want to run the aisles and say,

oh man, I'm so glad he's talking about this, but this is one of the big problems in our

society and in us individually. You know, I'm going to get to these scriptures here in just a second but this

is something I don't even know how I learn this. But we have students come to our school and you know over the years we've been going for

26 years now I've seen people come in one day pastor Duane anybody who pastors Joe

over here I hadn't got to say hi to you Joe but I've seen you thank you for coming but

Anybody who's pastored and done things I guarantee you you see people and you see the same traits in people over and over and over and over.

It's not like the devil has new tricks.

You can see symptoms and you recognize that this is a train wreck ready to happen right here.

You just get to where you know this after a while.

And so anyway, when people come into our school, I see things and I will go up and

maybe love a person and try and talk to them but you know what?

I don't sit here and take responsibility for those people without them giving me that right in their life.

I don't know if you understand what I'm talking.
