President Trump is floating the idea of replacing income tax with tariff revenue.

Trump told Fox that revenue from his newly enacted Liberation Day tariffs could eventually be high enough to make income taxes unnecessary, echoing practices from the late 19th century.

You know, in the old days, about 1870 to 1913, the tariffs were the only form of money.

And that's when our nation was relatively the richest. We were the richest.

The tariffs have sparked turmoil on Wall Street, but the Trump administration says at least 130 nations are now engaging in trade talks. A 90-day pause on most reciprocal tariffs is in place. That's except for China,

which faces increased duties after refusing negotiations. For its part, China insists those tariffs

will soon backfire, calling them extremely shameless.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the stand yesterday and today as the company battles a high-stakes antitrust lawsuit. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has more.

The Federal Trade Commission accused the Facebook parent company of monopolizing the social

networking market by acquiring rivals like Instagram and

WhatsApp, a strategy it calls buy or bury. Zuckerberg pushed back and said Facebook competes with a

broader field that includes companies such as TikTok, YouTube, and X. But prosecutors pointed to

internal emails where Zuckerberg called Instagram a threat and wrote, it's better to buy than compete.

If the FTC wins, it could force META to part with both Instagram and WhatsApp.
