Summary

What comes to mind when you hear the word church? John Mark challenges us to rethink our definition, exploring the deeper meaning of church as the "called out ones," a new humanity formed by Jesus to carry the kingdom of God to every corner of the world. He calls us to see church as a family that embodies the kingdom of God through everyday relationships, practices, and a shared mission to spread God's kingdom.

1:00.0	What comes to mind when I say the word church? For a lot of people it's a building, and one like this in particular first Baptist and a stage and seating and all of that but most of you know better
1:09.7	Still for a lot of other people what comes to mind is a two-hour event in a building every Sunday.
1:18.0	Often when I bump into another follower of Jesus from another church in this city or around and about. I asked the question, you know, hey, tell me about your church. And without fail, nine times at a 10, immediately people start to talk about the two-hour event.
1:33.0	So our music is kind of like Bethel, Meets Hill Song,
1:35.8	meets Indie, Techno, whatever.
1:39.3	And we have pour over coffee, and that's why the Holy Spirit is there or whatever and the teaching is
1:44.9	really cool we have this thing and that thing and whatever and sometimes I just
1:48.6	want to interrupt and say great great that's awesome you have pour over coffee
1:51.9	well done tell me about your church.
1:54.6	Not the event. Tell me about your church. It's kind of like if you were to ask me, you
1:59.7	don't know me, I don't know you, hey John Mark, me about your family and if I were to say well
2:04.6	every Monday night we have dinner together. 6.30 p.m we have a round table it's an
2:10.2	eems aluminum group, a-century, really cool table.
