Hey friends, this summer we wanted to do something really special and give you a behind-the-scenes look at some of our classic episodes.

But before we do that, we have a quick announcement. We're planning a conference called Gather.

There will be this September 15th and 16th in Pro-Yutah, and the event is being performed by a coalition of people that exist in the LGBTQIresane space.

Yeah, it's going to be Christ-centered and church-positive, and it will also be really expansive, including people on a variety of paths.

So some of the speakers we have planned are Steve Young, Tom Christopherson, Liv Mendoza Haynes, Megan Decker, Jesse Wilson, Michael Soto, Allison Dayton, Ben Shalatti, and Charlie Bird.

And I was super nervous when we recorded this episode.

Oh, yeah.

And really nervous about being released.

And so we released a classic episode about why we stay in the church.

And I was like, fun and like hearted, and we were joking.

This episode, as I listened to it, felt heavy.

Ben, I was listening to this, and I wrote, this is us at our very best.

Yeah. Oh, great.

I was listening, and I was like, wow, I'm so glad this conversation was recorded.

And I think there's something about when we do solo episodes that just allows us to dig deeper

because we're not like interviewing someone and we both know each other so well.

Yeah.

But I really thought that like this episode in particular,

we were dealing with this really hard controversial topic,
