Now, if you guys remember, right around the All Star break, Hoff and I sat here, and we graded every Pete Alonzo home run.

Clutch, middle of the road, or excuse my French, shit.

Those were the ratings for the Pete Alonzo home runs. And we started it right from the beginning of the season.

And we ran it all the way until July 14th, which is right before the All Star break.

And our final determination on the 19 home runs that Pete Alonzo hit in the first half of the season was, shockingly, 10 of them were considered clutch.

Five of them were middle of the row.

And four of them were the dog

crap, whatever, home runs. Now, here's what's funny about this exercise. It's up to all of us

to determine if that's a good percentage or not. You know, is that good? Is 10 of 19 being clutch

a high percentage? Or do we look at that and say ah that's crap that's not any good

but that was our and i thought we were very fair about it and i'll go over very very quickly for

those that missed that addition of the rico bronia i thought we were very fair so like for example

when pete alonzo hit a solo home run down seven to five with one out in the ninth inning. We call that middle.

Now, you could argue that's clutch.

I mean, it's the ninth inning.

You're basically down to your final few outs.

But we decided that's a middle home run down seven, five, ninth inning, one out.

A game tying home run in the ninth inning against the Tigers.

That was one of the home runs that early in the season helped turn it around.
