It's NFL Scouting Combine Week, so we're going to have a lot to say about the

combine and about the beginning of draft season. We will be joined shortly by Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network there,

combine and draft guru.

I had a good conversation with Jeremiah on Saturday as we record this late Monday afternoon,

Miles Simmons, my partner on this podcast has just gotten to Indianapolis where the

scouting combine is going to get into full swing pretty much starting tomorrow and there's a lot going on.

There's also a lot going on around the NFL, but Miles, let's just start by right now your boots on the ground in Indianapolis, and I wonder what really interest you right now, what do you

think is going to dominate this week in Indianapolis?

Well, I think it's going to be quarterbacks,

and it's not just the quarterbacks that are coming into this 2023 draft class.

Also the veteran quarterback market you know we might start to see a little bit of

movement from whether it's Aaron Rogers and what is he going to do since he is now apparently out of the darkness and hopefully he had some sort of epiphany there that will help him decide what he wants to do next in his career but also you know Derek car right he is on the open market he is available to be signed right now because he was released and when you have all of these NFL decision makers in one place, you have all of these agents here in one place, that is where these conversations can start happening and there can maybe start to be some sort of movement there. So, you've got that aspect of it and then these young cubies that are coming up. What are they going to do? Some of them are going to throw, some of them aren't going to throw. How are they going to do? Some of them are going to throw. How are they going to

present themselves to the media? It's going to be a fascinating week from that

standpoint. So many good points and so much coming out of what you just said.

And before we get to Daniel Jeremiah, in my opinion,

not that this should be a shock to anybody, but about a half hour before

we started recording.

The Washington commanders in a TURse release announced that they had released

Carson Wentz, which really is no surprise. You know, they basically have been

telling people that Sam Howell, their draft choice from last year, the quarterback was going to be the incumbent entering training camp and that's certainly how new offensive coordinator Eric B enemy has been progressing
