Hey everybody, this is Rob Leifeld. Welcome to another edition of Rob Observations. I hope this

finds you doing well and that you are having the very best time consuming all of your pop culture

because that's what we do here and we do lots of it and my speciality is comic

books and comic books superheroes and that's kind of what we um discuss all the time and if you're a

new listener you'll learn pretty quickly we are celebrating comics here we celebrate comic books

because they have become the foundation for so much that we have,

that we are consuming. And consuming in the best possible way, consuming by reading them, consuming by

experiencing them, not just purchasing them. The comic book landscape that I grew up with has become

the architectural digest for the world that is

constructed around us, whether you saw Black Widow in the last few weeks or you plan on

seeing the Eternals from Marvel coming up, whether you saw Loki, whether you watch any one of

the Disney Plus Marvel shows or Star Wars shows, whether you saw

Snake Eyes recently in the theaters. All of these are products of the newsprint comic books

that I was pulling off spinner racks at your local market, deli, liquor store. That's where my love affair began. And that's what we do here. That's

what we share. And so we are in the middle, the beginning of actually, not the middle yet,

of a series called Comic Book Feuds. I am not sharing comic book feuds with you guys

in order to pick sides or to get saucy details.

If sometimes those spill out, it's not by complete design. I truly believe so many of these comic

feuds were seminal in pivoting positions and directions of the comics industry.

Just as with musicians, again, when a band has a falling out.

And okay, so let's stick with bands.
